Welcome to DASSP - Disabled Allies of Sam Smith Park !

Over the last weekend, something exciting happened !

A small group of Disabled supporters of Colonel Samuel Smith Park got together to found a new environmental group with a dual purpose;
  • Support Samuel Smith Park in southwest Toronto, while also,
  • Protecting the interests of the varied mosaic of the Disabled Community, who enjoy this treasured gem of unique green space.
We are DASSP (Disabled Allies of Sam Smith Park) and together with the TRCA, FOSS, CCFEW, City of Toronto Forestry, Toronto Parks and other allies, our aim to make Sam Smith Park the friendliest park for the Disabled, in all of Toronto!

We are new, and will certainly have a few growing pains, but as is a common trait of our Community, we are also determined - to succeed.

Today we are planting the seed, tomorrow we will grow, and in the future we hope our promise will bloom!

Please bookmark us and stay tuned!  We'll see you in the park.

Vesty, Helena, Walt, and Cyril
